The problem
Single-use plastic washes onto Aruba's beaches faster than volunteer cleanups can remove it. We need scalable, locally-runnable ways to cut the inflow and recover what lands.
Context
Aruba's economy and ecology both depend on clean beaches. Peak tourist season multiplies both the plastic load and the cleanup cost.
In scope
Prevention, collection, sorting, and local reuse/recycling of beach plastic.
Out of scope
Solutions requiring infrastructure Aruba cannot operate or maintain locally.
Success criteria
A working pilot or credible plan that measurably reduces beach plastic, is runnable by local teams, and has a clear cost per kg recovered.
